In a project, sponsored by the Bavarian Ministry of Economic Affairs and Media, Energy and Technology, and controlled by VDI/ VDE Innovation + Technik GmbH, Sebastian Huebner teamed up with collaborators from the company KETEK GmbH to find an environmentally friendly, non-toxic alternative to Beryllium that has even a measurable performance benefit.
Now these efforts have paid off and are in a product again. Besides Olympus, Bruker is using it too. Check out the announcement of Bruker for their TRACER 5g product:
