Our Professorship recently welcomed Mr. Kamiya and Mr. Yamamoto, two research students from the Department of Mechanical Engineering at the University of Osaka, Japan.
During their visit, they toured our labs and delivered two presentations.
Their current research focuses on the fabrication of hydrogel tubes within microchannels, aimed at engineering small-diameter vascular grafts. In addition, they are exploring biohybrid robotics, particularly the development of cyborg systems that integrate biological components such as insects and annelid worms.
