Hybrid Organic Devices

As a characteristic feature, hybrid organic devices involve an interface between a photoactive polymer and a liquid electrolyte. This hybrid device structure is promising for a wide range of applications such as photoelectrochemical water-splitting or bioelectronics. By means of mesoscopic device models, we want to gain a deeper theoretical understanding of the photoelectrochemical processes at the organic-aqueous electrolyte interface. Thus, the device performance can be optimized with regard to actual industrial applications.
