Beatrice De Chiara holds a B.Sc. in Clinical Engineering and an M.Sc. in Biomedical Engineering from the University of Rome "La Sapienza". During her master's program, she joined the Neuroelectronics group in 2020, focusing on microfluidics and single-impact electrochemistry-based sensing. Since 2021, Beatrice has been pursuing her Ph.D., dedicated to the fabrication and electrochemical characterization of sensor array platforms. Her research integrates MOF-derived composites at the electrode site to enhance the electrochemical properties of the sensor for the detection of neurotransmitters and other biomarkers, such as dopamine, insulin, and pH. She employs a variety of techniques in her work, including photolithography and laser micromachining.
