Master Thesis / Working Student: Product Design for a Wearable Metabolic Sensor
We are looking for a product design student to own the industrial design of our next-generation metabolic face-mask sensor.
The Task: Turn a functional lab prototype into a wearable people actually want to put on their face. You will design the housing and mask integration around our sensor stack — balancing ergonomics, airtight fit, comfort during physical exertion, and manufacturability.
Requirements:
- Strong CAD skills.
- Experience with rapid prototyping (3D printing, silicone/soft materials, DFM).
- A feel for ergonomics and human-centered product design.
- Available immediately / flexible.

Partner Laboratory Opportunity (HM Munich)
Our partner laboratory at Hochschule München (HM) is currently looking for a student research assistant to support ongoing research in wearable biosensors and embedded AI systems.
Open Position: Research Assistant (HiWi)
Join an interdisciplinary team developing wearable biosensor technologies for medical diagnostics and theranostics. The project focuses on wearable biosensors based on Molecularly Imprinted Polymers (MIPs) for selective molecular detection in healthcare applications.
The Task:
Support the “BioMed-Lab – Biosensorics Group” through embedded firmware development (Python/Matlab), sensor data processing, and biosignal/biomarker analysis (e.g. Cortisol). You will contribute to real wearable medical hardware and interdisciplinary biosensor research.
Requirements
- Background in Electrical Engineering, Embedded Systems, Biomedical Engineering, or related fields (enrolled in a German university).
- Experience with microcontrollers and wearable interfaces (BLE, ANT).
- Interest in biosensors, wearables, and scientific research.
- Flexible/available for ~6–8 hrs per week.
Conditions
Paid student research assistant position.
Hybrid work possible.
Partner laboratory at HM (Lothstraße 34, Munich).
