Soft Microrobots

In the coming years, small scale soft devices that can wirelessly interact with cells to deliver therapeutics, perform micro-surgeries, and ablate tissue will revolutionize biomedicine. However, the challenge is to engineer microsystems that are compatible with biology and that are powerful enough to overcome the biomolecular and biomechanical obstacles created by native tissue. Our focus is on engineering new microrobotic tools and fabrication methods to overcome existing challenges in the field.
