Research

Our research is interdisciplinary and has great potential for technology development and application. At the Department of Electrical Engineering, we use modeling, experimentation and manufacturing processes to responsibly develop technologies for the future. Our research covers topics such as:
- microelectronics and circuit design
- quantum technology
- high frequency technology
- micro/nanofabrication and additive manufacturing
- electronic, optical and magnetic materials
- sensors and actuators
- medical technology
- bioelectronics
- electrochemistry
We use state-of-the-art clean room and technology laboratories for this purpose. The central electronics and information technology laboratory ZEITlab is also open to guest scientists and start-ups. We conduct research in cooperation with numerous national and international research institutions and companies.
