Frontiers of Nanoelectronics
The workshop aims to provide an occasion for discussing the transformations that have occurred and continue to occur in the field of electronics. The evolution of nanoelectronics and nanophotonics in recent decades, accompanied by the continuous reduction in the size of devices and the increasing complexity of integrated circuits, the pervasive role of optoelectronic and sensing technologies, and the integration with other disciplines such as physics, chemistry, biology, neuroscience, and materials science will be discussed. The event will feature invited oral sessions during which speakers will discuss their latest research and its potential implications for the future of nanoelectronics. The workshop will be held in Garching at the Department of Electrical Engineering and will be part of the celebration for the 150th anniversary of “Elektrotechnik und Informationstechnik at TUM”. This workshop will also bring together friends and colleagues of Stephen Goodnick, Paolo Lugli and Wolfgang Porod on the occasion of their retirement.
