We are measuring Munich air quality in a joint effort of TUM, Harvard and KIT. Focus is on Aerosols and Formaldehyde in the context of NOx and ozone.

Methane emissions from the third largest harbor city in Europe: we quantified emissions in Hamburg and found unknown sources. This study is supported by UN Environment Programme and Environmental Defense Fund.

We showed the satellite’s capability to detect urban spatial concentration gradients, which demonstrates the great potential of urban emission assessment from space.
