Gabriele Schrag is particularly committed to promoting women in STEM fields. Among other things, she supports the student initiative ‘EI Girls,’ which connects and empowers female students of electrical engineering and information technology, as well as the TUM Discoverers programme, which gives schoolgirls an insight into engineering professions. Additionally, she serves as an equal opportunities officer in the EU research project ‘Listen2Future’ and advocates against gender-specific barriers in science and technology.
The Angela Molitoris Diversity Award, named after the first female chancellor of TUM, has been presented since 2015 to employees who are particularly committed to promoting women and diversity.
